Day 6:
Today is our last sewing day! We just have to hem. You can also use today to topstitch your ruffle, if you’d like. We have some helpful tips on hemming and topstitching over here.
Want to make coordinating hair accessories? My daughter still loves to wear bows and headbands, so I usually save a little bit of scrap fabric to make something that matches. We have lots of cute and simple bow/hair patterns here:
- Sydney Sailor Bow
- Fabric Bow
- Hadley Hand Tied BowΒ
- Knotted Hair BowΒ
- Scarf + Bow Scrunchies
- Scrunchies in 3 Sizes
- Super Scrunchie
- Knit HeadbandΒ
- Hippie Headband
- Trixie Top Knot HeadbandΒ
- Ruffle ScrunchiesΒ
Donβt forget:
- Hem allowance is 1/2″
- You can use wash away hem tape if you are struggling with getting a consistent hem
Want to sew along with me? Check out todayβs video!
If you have questions about hemming, you are always welcome to post in our SAL group so we can help you! Be sure to check in each day during the SAL, and look for daily posts to enter our giveaways. We canβt wait to see what you create this week!
